Aikido Beginners Classes

Thursdays, 7.00 to 8.30pm, Hollinhey Primary School, Sutton, SK11 0EE

Our approach is that beginners are always welcome and will be encouraged and be helped along by our senior and more experienced students. Classes are mixed with all grades training together. Your class instructors will assess each student and you won't be expected to do anything you feel uncomfortable with.

Aikido is a practical martial art of Japanese origin with a unique philosophy and approach. There is no aggressive competition and practitioners support each other to improve. No great strength is needed; a more subtle, effective approach is developed.  All ages, sizes and gender can enjoy practising together. Self-development can be achieved at many levels including a calm confidence, mental wellbeing and a feeling of empowerment.

First class £5 (includes 4 weeks insurance)

Classes £4 thereafter

British Aikido Federation membership and 1 year’s insurance £35, Week 5
